This coffee is a single-origin coffee from Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region, centered around the town of Yirga Chefe, and it’s considered some of the best coffee in the world!

But what is it about Yirgacheffe coffee that makes it so good?

Yirgacheffe is high above sea level with a cool all-year round and a lot of rainfall. High-up, cool, and wet regions are ideal for growing coffee beans — especially when the soil is as rich and fertile as it is in Yirgacheffe. Like with wine, the quality of the soil in which a coffee bean is grown lends itself to the final taste of the bean.

Yirgacheffe’s unique flavour manifests as an iconic bright, floral, citrusy flavour with hints of peach iced tea. Because of these rich flavours, be prepared for coffeer with a smooth body, complex and multi-layered tastes!
